Our live webinar events are suited to two different age groups: Infants - 2nd Class and 3rd - 6th Class. Select and book your places below or you can watch back on the previous sessions via the video links in each module.
The sessions are presented by AgriKids Founder, Alma Jordan and will be recorded in the event the day or time is not suited.
Note: If you have a mixture of 2nd and 3rd class the older webinar event is also suitable for 2nd class pupils.
Children will learn key tips on preparing for a farm visit, signage safety, electricity and how farmers keep themselves safe & healthy in order to do their job.
Children will then learn key tips on recognising animal behaviours which could be threatening and how to handle animals with care. The event covers staying safe with bulls, cows, horses, dogs and cats.
Children will learn how to recognise and keep away from tractor blind spots. Also learning key tips on how farmers stay safe with tractors and and an introduction to quad safety.
Children will learn key tips on preparing for a farm visit, signage safety, slurry and electricity safety. They will also learn more on how farmers can keep themselves healthy and well in order to do their job.
Children will then learn key tips on recognising animal behaviours which could be threatening and how to work and handle animals with care. The event covers staying safe with bulls, cows, horses, dogs and cats.
Children will learn a little on the history of tractors & machinery. How to recognise and keep away from tractor blind spots, what checks are necessary to keep tractors in sound working order while also learning key tips on how farmers stay safe with tractors, quads and PTO's.
The Farm Safe Schools programme is run in partnership with Agri Aware, AgriKids and the IFA.
It is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine.
